THOUSANDS of people thronged the week-long Brunei Food Festival 2016 at the Indoor Stadium, which ended yesterday.
The event received a very positive response as exciting activities and exciting games were held.
“This is the fifth Brunei Food Festival. We focussed on local entrepreneurs, including online vendors.
“For the next event, we hope to collaborate together with well-known food suppliers,” said Dayangku Rina binti Pengiran Ahmad, Event Project and Marketing Manager.
Organised by Star Bugs Event Management, the festival was participated by over 60 vendors selling a range of products including food, drinks, clothes, bags, accessories and cube stores.
Visitor Mohammad Ariff said the festival should be continued and held annually as it helped local entrepreneurs promote their businesses.
“At the same time, as customers, it is convenient for us to buy stuff directly from the online vendors.”
Another visitor Haji Daud bin Haji Hasmadi said, “As the festival is held during the school holidays, it is a good opportunity for parents to bring our children to spend time together.”
Nuramal Atiqah binti Haji Abi, salesperson of Blissful Bites by Ween, said, “This is not the first time for us to be involved in such an event. Throughout the festival, we received a good feedback from the public.”
The festival was endorsed by the Ministry of Home Affairs and supported by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, and Borneo Bulletin as the media partner.
