AHMED Ali Sirohey, Deputy High Commissioner of Pakistan to Brunei Darussalam, called on Haji Mohd ‘Abdoh bin Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Salam, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) in his office and discussed matters of bilateral interest.
The permanent secretary informed the envoy that there are 1,700 Pakistanis living in Brunei. They are working with different organisations in various capacities. Some 108 Pakistanis are engaged in retail, wholesale and manufacturing business.
He hoped that with proactive approach, the Pakistan’s mission in the Sultanate can further improve business relations.
More people-to-people communication is expected to deepen the bilateral relations in the coming years, the permanent secretary said, adding that a constructive approach will benefit both countries.
