OVER 120 students from Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) attended yesterday a financial planning talk aimed at fostering greater understanding on the importance of wealth management.

The programme, titled ‘Program Siswa Celik $$$’ was geared for Years 1 and 2 students of the university’s Faculty of Syariah and Law. Present as the guest of honour was Dr Hajah Masnooraini binti Haji Mohiddin, Dean of the Faculty of Syariah and Law.

Held for the first time for UNISSA students, the talk was delivered by Zulfadzillah binti Brahim, Retail Banking Manager at Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD).

In a press release, UNISSA said the programme aims to nurture good financial planning management and skills among their students and to allow them to learn methods and tips to manage their finances systematically.

One student said the programme helped him to understand better the importance of financial planning at a young age to ensure that they are prepared for the unexpected and to be able to retire comfortably in the future.
