A TOTAL of 38 new recruits graduated in the 59th SETIA Protective Security Services (SPSS) passing out ceremony yesterday after completing a four-week course.
The guest of honour of the ceremony was Lieutenant Colonel (Rtd) Iskandar bin Dato Paduka Haji Yahya, who is also the Security Manager of SPSS Sdn Bhd. Apart from the officers of the company, the ceremony, held at the company’s headquarter, also saw guests, parents and family members witnessing the passing out of the new recruits.
The four-week course included on-the-job training at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital.
The training unit and the officers of SPSS also guided the new recruits in tackling real onfield situations.
The guest of honour, in his speech, called out to all SPSS staff and personnel to give their full attention and enthusiasm in carrying out their duties and responsibilities in all aspects of the team’s role.
The recitation of Doa Selamat was led by Ustaz Sahar bin Haji Laman, which was followed by refreshment for the guests and officers.
