Curtains up on Police Day Exhibition

The Police Day Exhibition was officially launched yesterday at The Airport Mall Atrium.

Held in conjunction with the 95th anniversary of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), The exhibition was officiated by Dato Paduka Seri Haji Bahrin bin Mohd Noor, Commissioner of Police as the guest of honour, who later presented souvenirs of appreciation to those who participated in the exhibition.

Also present at the ceremony was Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Mohd Jammy bin Haji Mohd Shah Al-Islam, Deputy Commissioner of Police; senior officials and personnel of RBPF; and other invited guests.

With the theme ‘Crime Prevention with the Community’, the exhibition aims to raise awareness among the public on curbing and preventing crimes as well as to provide information on criminal cases in Brunei Darussalam.

The exhibition is also participated by various stakeholders from government and private agencies that are involved in addressing crimes including several police departments, Immigration and National Registration Department, Royal Customs and Excise Department, Narcotics Control Bureau, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Prisons Department, Land Transport Department, Department of Syariah Affairs as well as Neighbourhood Watch.

Members of the public are welcome to visit the three-day exhibition as it is one of the efforts to educate the public on the duties, functions and responsibilities of RBPF and other stakeholders in maintaining national security.
