A MEMORANDUM of Understanding (MoU) between the Advanced Institute of Industrial Technology (AIIT) in Japan and Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) was exchanged yesterday during a ceremony held at the Faculty of Integrated Technologies (FIT) in UBD.
The MoU, which was signed on March 30 to formalise collaborations in the Asian Professional Education Network – Japan Asean Integration Fund (APEN-JAIF) project, was exchanged by the event’s guest of honour and UBD Assistant Vice-Chancellor for Global Affairs, Dr Joyce Teo, on behalf of the university, and Dr Shintaro Ishijima, the Chairperson of APEN, on behalf of AIIT.
The agreement is set to result in a number of benefits, such as the project of Credibility Index for Small and Medium Enterprise (CIS), which in turn will provide an understanding on the landscape of SMEs in certain countries, whereas another project on mapping the education system will provide respective universities and institutions a benchmark tool for curriculums for future revision and solutions.
Also present yesterday were Pengiran Dr Mohd Iskandar bin Pengiran Haji Petra, Dean of FIT at UBD; as well as the faculty staff, senior management and students of the university.
