THE Ministry of Health (MoH) held a ceremony to commemorate the Israk Mikraj yesterday at the Al-‘Afiah Hall, Ministry of Health.
The guest of honour was Dato Paduka Dr Awang Haji Zulkarnain bin Haji Hanafi, the Minister of Health.
The event began with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah which was led by Ustaz Haji Kamis bin Haji Damit, Religious Officer at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital.
A talk titled ‘Prayers are the key to heaven’ was delivered by Ustaz Pengiran Haji Mohd Hafidzuddin bin Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar from the Islamic Da’wah Centre, Ministry of Religious Affairs.
Ustaz Pengiran Hafidzuddin mentioned the event where the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) asked Allah the Almighty to decrease the number of daily prayers from 50 to five.

He also emphasised how prayers are the foundation of the religion and act as a platform of communication between Allah the Almighty and Muslims.
The event concluded with the recitation of Doa Selamat by Ustaz Haji Kamis.
