Korean youth delegates in Brunei for exchange programme

TEN participants of the 5th Brunei Darussalam and Republic of Korea Bilateral Youth Exchange Programme 2016 were welcomed yesterday at the Brunei International Airport by officials from the Korean Embassy in Brunei Darussalam as well as the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS).

The delegates, who will be in Brunei until May 19, will visit government departments, associations, companies and places of interest in the Brunei-Muara, Tutong and Belait districts.

They will also be given an opportunity to harvest paddy.

The participants will also stay with foster families in the Brunei-Muara and Tutong districts.

The exchange programme is the result of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Korea in 2011.

As part of the programme, a delegation of 10 youths from Brunei visited Korea from April 20-29.
