THE Muslimah Unit of the Mosque Affairs Department organised a special talk at the Silver Jubilee Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque yesterday, in celebration of Israk Mikraj 1437H.
The guest of honour at the event was Datin Hajah Zalina binti Haji Omar, the spouse of Dato Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Zulazmi bin Haji Mohd Salleh, a Mosque Affairs Officer at the Silver Jubilee Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque.
This was followed by welcoming remarks from the head of the Muslimah Unit, Noraini Yanti binti Haji Hussein, in her capacity as chairperson of the event.

Isham bin Haji Ismail, Religious Dissemination Officer from the Islamic Da’wah Centre, delivered a special talk, emphasising on the obligation of the five daily prayers as commanded by Allah the Almighty to the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) during his night journey on Israk Mikraj.
The event was enlivened with a Tausyeh performance by members of the Muslimah Guidance Class at the Silver Jubilee Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque.
Later, it concluded with a recitation of Doa Peliharakan Sultan by Haji Kamaluddin bin Haji Abdul Rahim, the Imam of the mosque.
Also in attendance were the spouses of the permanent secretary and deputy permanent secretaries at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
