SHE Runs is not just a big sporting event for women in Brunei, but also to die-hard fans of Wu Chun. Yesterday’s event saw the participation of women from 16 countries and among them was 19-year-old Christine from China, who considers herself one of Wu Chun’s loyal fans.
Christine said she is a fan of Wu Chun’s since she was 10 years old and in an interview she revealed that, “It’s my second time here. Last year I was here too.”
She also lauded the success of this year’s event, expressing, “Everything was well organised. The atmosphere was very lively and active. I would join again next year.”
When asked why she was so passionate about Wu Chun, she said, “Besides his good looks, Wu Chun has a very good personality and character. From today’s event, we can already see that he is very kind and is a down-to-earth kind of person by organising such a big charitable event.”
She also said that it was worth the trip to fly from China just to support Wu Chun’s event.
Meanwhile another Wu Chun fan from overseas, Ah Dee, said, “The event today was organised very well and I hope to continue to support Wu Chun in his charitable events.” She also agreed that Wu Chun has a very friendly and kind personality and also hopes to return to Brunei again next year to join another She Runs.
Wu Chun after the completion of the event conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to all the participants as well as his fans, who travelled all the way to Brunei just to attend the special event to promote empowerment of women and to raise funds for Children’s Cancer Foundation and Special Olympics Brunei Darussalam.
