VENDORS, staff of Sumbangsih Mulia as well as their family members yesterday held the recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Tahlil for the late parents of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman.
It was held at the Royal Mausoleum in Jalan Tutong. Present were YB Pehin Kapitan Lela Diraja Dato Paduka Goh King Chin, Chairman of Sumbangsih Mulia in Gadong and Pengiran Dato Sharifuddin bin Pengiran Haji Matali.
Surah Yaasiin and Tahlil recitations were led by Haji Abdullah bin Haji Tahir, Imam of Kampong Beribi Mosque. Some 200 people attended the religious ceremony which is an annual event organised by Sumbangsih Mulia to pay their respects to His Majesty’s late parents during the blessed month of Ramadhan.
