THE Ministry of Finance (MoF) and its departments concluded the Tedarus ceremony for the holy month of Ramadhan with a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony held at the Ash-Shaliheen Mosque, Prime Minister’s Office Building Complex yesterday.
The guest of honour was Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ibrahim, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance II. Also present were the deputy ministers, permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretaries, heads of department and division, officers and staff of the Ministry of Finance and its departments.
The recitation of Doa Khatam Al-Quran and Doa Tahlil was led by Imam Haji Asleenan bin Haji Metussin, Imam of the Ash-Shaliheen Mosque. The event concluded with iftar and a mass Maghrib prayer.
This year the Ministry of Finance and departments under it held Tedarus in three mosques – Kampong Pelambayan Mosque, Kampong Beribi Mosque, Kampong Perpindahan Mata-Mata Mosque. The congregation presented Waqaf to all three mosques as well as the Ash-Shaliheen Mosque.
The Tedarus and Khatam Al-Quran for the Ministry of Finance and its departments were handled by the Royal Customs and Excise Department this year.
