SOME 27 children under the care of the Suri Seri Begawan Hospital in Belait District yesterday received charitable contributions from Massutera Engineering Sdn Bhd (MESB).
The contributions were handed over by Haji Muhd Alfie bin Haji Omar, the Managing Director of MESB at a ceremony held at the Children’s Ward.
According to a press release, 17 of the recipients are paediatric patients of the ward, while the 10 other recipients are children with special needs from underprivileged families under the care of the Medical Welfare Unit of the hospital.
The event was held in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan to ease the recipients’ burden in preparing for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
Also present were the Suri Seri Begawan Hospital’s Chief Executive Officer Haji Mohamad bin Abdul Hamid and the staff of the Children’s Ward and the Medical Welfare Unit.
