IN THIS current sophisticated era, technology will either leave a positive or negative mark on every individual and we should be more consistent in benefitting from it.

This was shared by Champion of the Category ‘E’ of the National-Level Nuzul Al-Quran Memorisation and Understanding Competition 2016, Dayangku Nurol Hafizah binti Pengiran Haji Tejudin when interviewed after the National-Level Nuzul Al-Quran Ceremony 1437H held at the International Convention Centre (ICC) at Berakas recently.

“It is better for us to open the Al-Quran and to read it, the challenge of feeling bored of reading repetitive verses will be overcome after we get used to reciting and memorising verses from the Holy Al-Quran,” she said.

Commenting on the use of technology, she said that she was listening to Al-Quran mp3 recitations, which helped her greatly as listening to the recitations of famous imams’ was a method of correcting recitations and pronunciation of verses.

Her tips to success were to recite at least two or three Juzuks of the Al-Quran so it will grow into a habit. She also said that her success was also spurred from the encouragement and guidance of her husband. “He has given me a lot of encouragement and advice,” she said.
