MoHA holds Khatam Al-Quran ceremony

THE Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) headquarters yesterday held a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony to mark the end of Tedarus Al-Quran in the holy month of Ramadhan for its officer and staffs.

The ceremony took place at the ministry’s Surau, 2nd floor.

Attending as guest of honour was Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs.

The ceremony is part of the ministry headquarters religious activity held to enliven the month of Ramadhan.

The activity hopes to enhance religious practices and to refurbish work quality through the teaching of holy Al-Quran.

The event starts with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Haji Zulkifli bin Haji Kula, Assistant Administration of the ministry and follows with recitation of Khatam Al-Quran and Takhtim and Tahlil. And follows with recitation of Doa Khatam and Doa Tahlil.

At the event the minister also presented donation to five orphan children and five individuals with special need comprises of children of the personnel as well as six single mothers of the ministry.

Also present at the event were deputy permanent secretaries, head of departments, officers and staffs of the MoHA headquarters.
