ABOUT 130 Muslim converts from Kampong Bebuloh and Belait District accompanied by officers and staff from the Islamic Da’wah Centre yesterday visited the residence of Dato Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, in Kampong Sungai Hanching in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.
Upon arrival, the delegation, led by Ustaz Haji Abdul Aziz bin Haji Abdul Kahar, Acting Assistant Director of the Islamic Da’wah Centre was warmly greeted by the minister and his spouse, Datin Hajah Zalina binti Haji Omar.
Haji Abdul Aziz delivered a remark expressing appreciation and gratitude to the deputy minister for his hospitality and followed with another responding remarks from the deputy minister.
This was followed by a mass recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and performing of Dikir Marhaban prior to the guests treated to Hari Raya cuisines.
Such visit was aimed at strengthening the ties among the Muslim converts.
