THE Community Development Department (JAPEM) under the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS), yesterday hosted an annual gathering for Pusat Bahagia trainees and Welfare Housing Complex residents from all four districts in conjunction with Hari Raya.
Present as the guest of honour at the celebration was Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, and spouse.
The programme was part of the department’s continuous efforts in fostering and enhancing closer ties between trainees of Pusat Bahagia, residents of the Welfare Housing Complex, their families and stakeholders. The programme was also part of the efforts in inviting involvement of the community.
Also present at the ceremony were permanent and deputy permanent secretary at the MCYS along with their spouses, heads of department and directors from MCYS, senior officers as well as parents and guardians.
