297 accidents reported in July

THE Traffic Control and Investigation Department under the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) yesterday revealed that a total of 333 cases of accidents were reported in the month of June while in the month of July, there were 297 cases of accidents including one fatal accident.

Meanwhile in the month of June, a total of 425 cases of traffic offences were recorded from 34 operations that were carried out.

The breakdown of the offences were 308 cases from 22 operations conducted by Traffic Control and Investigation Department in Gadong and 117 cases from 12 operations carried out by Traffic Control and Investigation Department branch of Batu 3, Belait.

For the month of July, a total of 347 cases of traffic offences were unearthed from 32 operations carried out. Traffic Control and Investigation department in Gadong recorded 184 offences from 20 operations while the remaining 163 is from Traffic Control and Investigation Department branch of Batu 3, Belait in 12 operations.

With the accidents cases and traffic offences, RBPF would like to remind road users to always comply to the traffic regulation of the country and always drive cautiously in bad weather.
