SUPERINTENDENT of Police, Mazalan bin Yaakub yesterday officially took over the responsibilities of the Acting Commanding Officer of Brunei-Muara Police District from Senior Superintendent Husaini bin Haji Mat Zain in a ceremony that also saw five Auxiliary Police Officers (APO) promoted to Lance Corporal APO as well as the Commissioner of Police’s Certificates of Commendation presentation at the Central Police Station in Bandar Seri Begawan.
The ceremony started with the inspection of the parade line by Senior Superintendent Husaini bin Haji Mat Zain followed by the handing over of duties to the newly appointed Superintendent of Police Mazalan bin Yaakub.
Mazalan then proceeded to present the promotion letters of five APO officers to Lance Corporal APO and the presentation of the Commissioner of Police’s Certificate of Commendation to police officers from Brunei-Muara Police District for their excellence in work, especially the capture of criminals related to robbery case and attempted rape as well as in the case involving false bomb report in Gadong commercial area in July.
A Commendation Certificate was also handed over to Intracorp (B) Sdn Bhd for providing assistance to the Royal Brunei Police Force during the handling of the bomb situation last month. Wilson Lee, the Operation Manager received the certificate on behalf of Intracorp (B) Sdn Bhd.
