A total of 23 readers from all four districts participated in the finals of the Al-Quran memorisation and interpretation competition on Monday for mukim and village consultative councils and mosque takmir committees.
The religious event was held at the Tutong Civic Centre Complex, to mark the 70th birthday celebrations of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
