THE Islamic Studies Department (JPI) under the Ministry of Religious Affairs, through the committee for Religious School Leaders Brunei I Zone, held a mass Sunnat Hajat prayer and recitation of Surah Yaasiin yesterday at the Duli Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Mosque, Mukim Tamoi.
Some 471 students of Primary Six in the Brunei I Zone took part in the ceremony to seek blessings for their upcoming Primary Religious Schools Certificate (SSSRU) Examination that will commence from November 17 – 26.
The religious ceremony also served as a platform to motivate the students and further encourage them to work hard and excel in their examination. It also aimed to foster closer ties between students, teachers and students particularly in the Brunei I Zone.
The Sunnat Hajat prayers and recitation of Surah Yaasiin was led by Faizal bin Rosli, Imam of the mosque. A motivational talk was also presented by Haji Norhusaini bin Haji Hussain, a motivator from the Civil Service Institute.
