Thousands took to the streets of the capital in a mass cycling event on Sunday to commemorate the 46th anniversary of the renaming of Bandar Brunei to Bandar Seri Begawan.
The event was also held to mark the 11th National Youth Day and Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with several cyclists wearing pink ribbons, the international symbol of breast cancer care.
But what made the event truly special was the participation of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and other members of the royal family.
