The Brunei LNG (BLNG) plant in Lumut encountered a total power failure on Tuesday which resulted in high flaring, black smoke and noises, the Energy and Industry Department at the Prime Minister’s Office (EIDPMO) said.
The outage, which occurred at approximately 4.30pm, affected electricity supply in some parts of Belait District.
No injury to staff and business partners was reported as a consequence of the incident, the EIDPMO said in a press statement.
