KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama) – The police have recorded a statement from an Al Jazeera reporter to assist the investigation into a documentary of the international television station last week on Malaysia allegedly being a hub for baby-selling activities.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said the police had never neglected their responsibility in investigating illegal activities, including smuggling of babies.
“The local female reporter extended good cooperation and the police understand why she made the documentary… If necessary we will call up more individuals to help the investigation.
