The 3rd Asean Medical Device Committee (AMDC) Meeting began in Brunei Darussalam on Thursday.
The meeting highlighted the importance of giving out technical assistance and training to Asean member countries to implement control and to hold discussions with countries or organisations outside Asean that are willing to assist Asean in terms of medical equipment.
These also include training plans and capacity building among Asean member countries and dialogue partners.
The two-day meeting is currently being held at the Ministry of Health at the Commonwealth Drive and is a follow-up of the last meeting held at the Asean Secretariat in Jakarta, Indonesia.
