PERBADANAN Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (TAIB) has handed over 11,340 books to the Kempen 10,000 Buku Tulis Percuma for underprivileged children, which was launched recently during the Mega Carnival Expo 2016.
The campaign, organised by Star Media Management, is the first-ever introduced in Brunei Darussalam. The book contribution from TAIB and its staff exceeded the required quantity.
Hajah Halija binti Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Utama Dato Paduka Haji Jaya, Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications of Perbadanan TAIB, handed over the contribution to a Star Media Management representative.
“We are truly excited to be part of such a worthwhile campaign. The contribution will directly benefit hundreds of deserving underprivileged children who want to pursue their educational goals.
“With the contribution, we hope to assist in preparing the children for the new school year,” Hajah Halija said.
