THE High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Brunei Darussalam, Air Vice Marshall Mahmud Hussain, raised the national flag of Bangladesh in commemoration of the country’s 45th Victory Day.

The event was attended by a large crowd of Bangladesh nationals who either have businesses and are working or studying in Brunei Darussalam.

Mahmud Hussain also spoke to the media concerning the excellent relations between Brunei Darussalam and Bang-ladesh, with both countries in mutual cooperation with the focus on development and other areas of common interests.

He said his country is working hard to meet the sustainable development goals as emphasised by the United Nation’s mandate and the same goes for Brunei Darussalam as both countries progress to achieve their objectives.

He added that Bangladesh nationals residing in Brunei Darussalam are also working hard to make their contributions felt, with many of them working in the country as professionals, in the private sector as well as studying in educational institutions.

The flag raising ceremony was followed by a visit to a photo exhibition by the high commissioner.
