AN AUDIENCE of about 3,000 people were captivated by the dazzling performances of a group of students from Chung Hwa Middle School, Bandar Seri Begawan (CHMS BSB) last night at the Friendship Night Cultural Show at the Jerudong Park Amphitheatre.
Aimed at promoting cultural exchanges, the cultural event saw the attendance of the Minister of Education, Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman as the guest of honour, Gu Xiulian, President of China-Asean Association as well as representatives from Asean members countries.
Dr Firdaus bin Abdul Rahman, Chairman of the organising committee, said that cultural diversity is among the most wonderful treasures of mankind and he applauded CHMS BSB for promoting cultures.
Held by the Brunei-China Friendship Association and co-hosted by CHMS BSB in conjunction with the 10th Conference on Asean-China People-to-People Friendship, the performances highlighted the rich cultural diversity in China and Asean member countries.
