The Sungai Basong Recreational Park is a hotspot for recreational activities in the district, boasting a large area where visitors can experience the distinctiveness of Tutong culture through the exhibits of various models of ethnic heritage houses.
The Tutong District Office expressed hopes that involving all parties to work on building the facilities together would help promote the spirit of solidarity and bring about a culture of teamwork among community members, especially with regard to community-based projects and socio-economic oriented works.
Also in attendance were Mukim Telisai Penghulu cum Tutong District Legislative Council representative YB Haji Awang Ramli bin Haji Lahit, Assistant Tutong District Officer Haji Adnan bin Haji Adam and representatives of government agencies.
The joint-community work is part of a programme by the Tutong District Office and Tutong District Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation with support from the Tutong District Tourism Promotion and Coordinating Body and Tutong District Volunteers to develop and promote tourism related facilities and services in the Tutong District.
