THIRTY-EIGHT multi-talented students of Jerudong International School (JIS) yesterday mesmerised a full house of 750 people with the thrilling musical show, ‘Les Miserables’ at the JIS Arts Centre yesterday.

The students, who played multiple roles in the play, received a thunderous applause from an electrified audience.

Split into two intervals, the performance comprised 26 songs. Fahad Shiraz played the lead role of Valjean while Aaron Klein came as Javert, Yasmin Riches as Fantine, Christeen Park as Madame Thenardier, Charles Duru as Thenardier and Eden Chiam as Enjolras.

Barnaby Sandow, Principal of JIS, said, “It was a journey that the students took to come together with a musical performance. The lead actor Farhad has never sung before and he managed to show his real talent today.

“Being part of the show, the students will never forget the experience of singing their hearts out in front of 750 people,” he added.

The show was made a big success because of the collective efforts by everyone including people who made the stage, the lightings and set the orchestra.

The tickets for tonight’s performance have already been sold out, while for the Sunday’s show at 2pm, some tickets are still available.
