THE Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association (PPNBD) organised a cleaning campaign along Muara Beach recently for the sixth time this year.
The programme was also held in conjunction with the International Peace Day, which is celebrated every September 21.
Approximately 200 members, comprising Scout Commissioners, Scout Leaders, Cub Scout, Junior Scout, Venture Scout, Rover Scout, Sea Scout and Air Scout from 15 scout teams, joined to make the campaign a success.
As much as 350 kilogrammes of rubbish was successfully collected.
Present at the cleaning campaign were the President of PPNBD, Dato Paduka Haji Idris bin Haji Abas; Chief Commissioner of PPNBD, Haji Badar bin Haji Ali; Deputy Chief Commissioner of PPNBD, Haji Ismail bin Pehin Orang Kaya Ratna Setia Dato Setia Haji A Hapidz as well as the Secretary General, Haji Zainuddin bin Haji Jaafar.
