Religious education results via SMS

THE Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) in collaboration with DST Communications Sdn Bhd (DST) and Mach Telecommunications Systems Sdn Bhd (MachTel) for the first time will be offering a Short Messaging Service (SMS) for the upcoming Brunei Religious Education Higher Certificate (STPUB), Primary Six Religious School Certificate Examinations (SSSRU) and the Arabic School Candidate Selection (PCKSA) Examination results.

A press conference concerning the new system was held yesterday at the Multaqa Hall, MoRA, Jalan Dewan Majlis, Berakas.

Presenting the new initiative was the Head of Examination section under the Department of Islamic Studies at MoRA in his capacity as the Secretary of the Brunei Religious Education Examination Board (LPPUB) Haji Shamsol bin Haji Omar Acting Head of Information Technology Section, MoRA Haslinah Susanti binti Haji Mohd Hassan and representative from Mach Telecommunications Systems Sdn Bhd Rosli bin Metussin.

MoRA hopes that this service will benefit the members of the public especially parents and candidates under the LPPUB to receive their examination results quick and effectively while protecting their privacy.

Subscribers wishing to subscribe to this service are required to register online through the MoRA’s web portal at www.kheu.gov.bn.

Subscribers will also be able to register through mobile phones via SMS and will need to input the following text, “KHEU<space>REG<space>[CENTRE CODE]<space>[CANDIDATE NO]”, and send it to 8885555 (DST).

No charges will be incurred for the registration process.

Examination results will only be sent to subscribers via SMS upon approval from the Ministry.

Subscribers will be charged $1 for each SMS result received.

Subscribers can begin subscribing to this service as of today.
