THE Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (Yayasan), as the Secretariat of the Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Fund for Orphans (DANA), yesterday held a thanksgiving ceremony to commemorate the 42nd birthday of His Royal Highness
Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, at the Yayasan Complex’s Multipurpose Hall in the capital.
Present to grace the event was His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik, as Chairman of the Yayasan Committee of Governors.
The religious ceremony began with a congregational Maghrib prayer led by Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar, Chief Syar’ie Judge.

This was followed by recitations of Surah Yaasiin, Tahlil and Doa Selamat, before the event concluded with mass Isyak prayer.
Also present yesterday were Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, Minister of Education and Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, the Minister of Home Affairs, as well as members of the Yayasan Board of Directors and the DANA Board of Trustees; special guests (among them regular contributors to DANA); the officers andstaff of Yayasan, as well as teachers from the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Primary School.
