BRUNEI singer Gzulyusof is returning to the local entertainment scene with a new single, ‘Diriku Bukan Superstar,’ scheduled for release at 5pm tomorrow on Pelangi FM.
This time around, Gzulyusof has chosen to perform in the pop genre to broaden his capabilities as a singer and reach a wider audience.
The song – which is all about facing life’s challenges with a positive outlook – has a fresh, upbeat vibe to appeal to people of all ages, especially young music lovers. Gzulyusof hopes his new single will catch on, and have everyone dancing to the tune.
The song took three months to complete, with the lyrics written by Wan Iman, while the music was composed by Erfin Faz from Studio Aruslangit Cianjur Indonesia. The studio recording was made by Heroes Studio, with Jai Mahathir singing on backup vocals.

Explaining the song’s title, Gzulyusof says that one does not need to become popular or a superstar to be happy and fulfilled in life.
He hopes his latest release will inspire other local artistes to continue performing, and perhaps even go on to showcase their talents in the international arena.
