THE Ministry of Defence (MinDef) and Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) yesterday held mass thanksgiving prayers to mark Brunei Darussalam’s 32nd National Day.
The ceremony was held at the MinDef Surau, Bolkiah Garrison. The guest of honour was Captain Haji Yusuf bin Masron, Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), Chief of Staff of the RBAF Joint Forces, according to a press release.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Al-Quran verses followed by mass Maghrib prayer.
The Sunnat Hajat prayer was later performed and the ceremony continued with the recitation of Surah Yaasiin.

This was followed by a special doa led by Shuib bin Abdullah, Imam of the MinDef Surau, Bolkiah Garrison.
To conclude the ceremony, the congregation performed a mass Isyak prayer.
Suraus in all the RBAF garrisons and camps also held similar ceremonies.
