THE Parents and Teachers Association of Datu Ratna Haji Muhammad Jaafar Primary School (SRDRHMJ) yesterday held a celebration marking the 32nd National Day at the school’s Sejahtera Hall in Kiarong.
Present as guest of honour was former school principal, Haji Muhammad Nikman bin Haji Muhammad Isa.
The ceremony began with the singing of the national anthem followed by a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and thanksgiving prayers led by Ustaz Haji Bahrinman bin Pengarah Haji Abdullah.
Dozens of school pupils donned in their respective national attire attended the ceremony along with their parents, in a bid to encourage further parental involvement in the pupils’ early developments in education.
Students later took centre stage for several performances including patriotic choir and poetry recitals.
