UNIVERSITI Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), through the Division of Student Affairs, observed the Aidiladha festivities over the weekend.
The celebration is an annual activity for UNISSA, in an effort to inspire stronger relationships, generosity and gratitude among its community members.
This year, 16 participants from UNISSA – comprising officers, staff members and their families – performed ritual sacrifices for Korban and Aqiqah, during which one cattle, one buffalo and two goats were slaughtered.
Portions of the meat were distributed to the underprivileged living near the university campus as well as to members of the UNISSA community.
Present as the guest of honour was Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, the Rector of UNISSA.
Also in attendance were officers, personnel, and students of UNISSA.
