THE pride of Malaysia’s Armed Forces was celebrated among dozens of invited guests during a reception marking the 82nd Malaysian Armed Forces Day at Hotel Radisson yesterday evening.
Present as guest of honour at the event was Deputy Minister of Defence, Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat, accompanied by his spouse, Pengiran Datin Hajah Jamilah binti Pengiran Haji Mohd Yussof.
The reception began with a Doa Selamat read by Capt (Ustaz) Gahu Suhaimi bin Haji Mohd Saman, before a video documentary on the journey and developments of the Malaysia Armed Forces was presented.
Malaysian Defence Advisor Colonel Reduan bin Haji Omar then delivered a speech, particularly highlighting the vast developments of the bilateral cooperation between the Royal Brunei Armed Forces and the Malaysia Armed Forces.

Upon concluding his speech, the guest of honour along with other senior defence officials were invited to a cake-cutting ceremony.
The reception resumed with the handing of token of appreciation to the Deputy Minister of Defence followed by a dinner.
