EXPO organiser Da Adwa’s House handed over donations to two orphaned siblings whose parents and grandmother died in the police barracks in Muara recently.
Nine-year-old Faridzakwan bin Titismandi and his three-month-old sibling received the dona-tions at an Aidiladha celebration held recently during Da Adwa’s Expo which runs until October 4 at The Airport Mall.
Faridzakwan’s father, a member of the Royal Brunei Police Force, mother and grandmother passed away on August 29 at their home in the police barracks caused by carbon monoxide poisoning.
The two siblings are now being taken care of by their uncle Titimuradi bin Wahid and his wife in Bukit Beruang.
The Sunday event began with a mass Takbir recital. Aside from a banquet for the visitors at the expo, a contest was also held for the prettiest dress for women, which was won by Juliani binti Haji Kamis, and the prettiest Jubah for men won by Pengiran Mohd Shahiran bin Pengiran Haji Hassan.

Over 30 vendors took part in various activities. Visitors also participated in Tamiya racing championship and quiz. They also got the chance to enter a lucky draw.
The expo was inaugurated on September 19 by Dayangku Siti Saihalina binti Pengiran Haji Muhd Daud, Assistant Director of Community Development. Also present was Bibi Mariah binti Haji Abdul Karim, Director of Da Adwa’s House.
Da Adwa’s House is holding the expo to celebrate its first anniversary and has invited a number of vendors to participate.
