SIXTY people yesterday turned up for the Bebuloh Obstacle Course Challenge, which is the first tournament of its kind in Brunei.
Officiating as guest of honour at the sporting event was Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF).
Participants raced along a 10km track, which took them over jungle hills and across paddy fields in Kampong Bebuloh.
Muhd Amir bin Muhd Rawi, a member of the organising committee, said, “The race was inspired by our experiences of running in obstacle courses abroad, including the Spartan Race and the Obstacle race in Malaysia. We found Kampong Bebuloh, with its hilly areas, as the perfect location to hold this type of challenge.”
