THE Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and departments under it held a Tedarus ceremony at the Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Mosque in Kampong Jerudong.
Present at the ceremony were Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar, Chief Syar’ie Judge; Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Setia Raja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Suhaili bin Haji Mohiddin, Judge of the Syariah Appeal Court; and judges of the Syariah High Court.
Also present were directors and senior officers as well as staff of the State Judiciary Department, Adat Istiadat Negara Department, Civil Service Institute and departments under the PMO.
A presentation of Waqaf to the mosque’s Imam by Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Salim was held earlier at the event. The event continued with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the Chief Syar’ie Judge, followed by Tedarus Al-Quran from Juzuks 16 to 30.

The congregation also held a Tahlil and recitation of Doa Arwah and Doa Selamat.
The Tedarus was organised by the State Judiciary Department, Adat Istiadat Negara Department, Civil Service Institute and the Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Mosque Takmir Committee.
