MINISTER of Development Dato Paduka Awang Haji Bahrin bin Abdullah yesterday led a delegation from the Ministry of Development and departments under it at a Tahlil ceremony and Surah Yaasiin recitation at the Royal Mausoleum.
The Tahlil was to pay respect to the late parents of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman.
Among those present were Permanent Secretary (Administration and Finance) at the Ministry of Development Haji Muhammad Lutfi bin Abdullah, Permanent Secretary (Technical and Professional) at the Ministry of Development Eddie bin Dato Paduka Haji Sunny, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Development Haji Marzuke bin Haji Mohsin, heads of departments/divisions officers and staff of the Ministry of Development and departments under it.
The ceremony began with the recitation of the Surah Yassiin. It continued with the Tahlil and Doa Arwah led by Mohd Amin bin Haji Salim, an Officer from the Mosque Affairs Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs.
