IN CONJUNCTION with the month of Ramadhan, the Ministry of Development and its departments continued their Tedarus (recitation of the Al-Quran), Tahlil (prayers for the deceased), presentation of endowment and breaking of fast with the latest ceremony taking place at Kampong Bengkurong Mosque yesterday.
Present at the ceremony were Dato Paduka Awang Haji Bahrin bin Abdullah, Minister of Development; Dato Paduka Awang Haji Suhaimi bin Haji Gafar, Deputy Minister of Development; Eddie bin Dato Paduka Haji Sunny, Permanent Secretary (Technical and Professional) at the Ministry of Development; Haji Muhammad Lutfi bin Abdullah, Permanent Secretary (Administration and Finance) at the Ministry of Development; and Haji Marzuke bin Haji Mohsin, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Development.
Also present were heads of departments and divisions, members of the mosque committee and village residents.
The endowment – 30 Rihals (Al-Quran stands) – was presented by the minister to the mosque, which was represented by Haji Nasrul Hazimin bin Haji Sapar, its Head Imam.
The completion of the recitation will be held on June 25 at Duli Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Mosque in Mukim Tamoi.
