Al-Falaah School holds Khatam Al-Quran

TO MARK the blessed month of Ramadhan, Al-Falaah School yesterday held a Khatam Al-Quran at the school’s building in Jalan Kebangsaan in Sungai Akar.

Present as the guest of honour was the Deputy Minister of Development, Dato Paduka Awang Haji Suhaimi bin Haji Gafar.

Also present were the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Brunei Darussalam, Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashel bin Rashed Hashel Al-Maskari, and the Principal of the school, Ustaz Sayied Hamid bin Sayied Ibrahim Aal-Taaher Al-Husainiy.

The religious event was held to gain multiple rewards from Allah the Almighty and to hold Tahlil prayers for the late Allahyarham Ustaz Saiyed Ibrahim Aal- Taaher Al-Husainiy, founder of the school.

A total of 61 Year 6 students took part in the Khatam Al-Quran.

The event was highlighted with the presentation of donations to 30 orphaned students from two branches of Al-Falaah School, namely the branch in Jalan Kebangsaan Sungai Akar and Jalan Ban 5 in Kampong Kilanas.

The event later continued with the breaking of fast, and Maghrib and Sunnat Hajat prayers.

Some 300 teachers, staff, students and their parents were present at the annual religious gathering organised by the school.
