WITH the Hari Raya Aidilfitri just around the corner, the Ramadhan Al-Mubarak Expo 2016 at the Indoor Stadium has been a hive of activity, with large crowds packing the venue to shop for clothing, food items and bargains.
One of the customers at the expo, Nurfatin binti Damit, said that she was pleased with the wares on offer at the bazaar.
“It was a worthwhile visit to the Indoor Stadium as all the Hari Raya necessities that my family was looking for are available here,” she said, adding that festive clothing such as Baju Kurung and Kaftans are being sold at very reasonable prices.
“What’s even more exciting is the wide range of cakes, biscuits and beef floss available here, so that last-minute buyers like me can just shop here for Hari Raya delicacies.”
Meanwhile, among the top attractions featured at the two-week expo is the ‘Guess and Win’ game.

In addition to the variety of Hari Raya necessities on sale, the Ramadhan Al-Mubarak Expo 2016 at the Indoor Stadium also offers a guessing game with prizes. – FIZAH HAB
Participants stand a chance of winning Hari Raya hampers, crates of drink and shopping vouchers worth $150, $100 and $80, by guessing the colour of the ‘ketupat’ which has been placed in the acrylic box at the entrance of the expo.
According to the organiser, Tech Evolution Media Company, visitor responses to the game has been positive. The winner will be announced live on July 3, after Isyak prayer, at the Indoor Stadium.
The Ramadhan Al-Mubarak Expo 2016 is supported by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, and Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, with the Borneo Bulletin and Media Permata as the official media partners.
