TO LESSEN the burden of a family whose house collapsed recently in Kampong Sungai Matan, the Brunei Islamic Religious Council (MUIB) handed over Zakat donations to the victims yesterday at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The donation of $800 and assistance in the form of school supplies was handed over to the head of the family, Mohd Ariffin bin Haji Metassan by the Acting Deputy Secretary of MUIB, Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sabtu.
The occupants of the house which collapsed at 9am on July 15 are Mohd Ariffin, his wife and two children.
The donation was taken from the Zakat Asnaf Fakir Miskin fund allocation.
