THE Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam (AMBD) welcomed a delegation from the National Parliament of Timor-Leste at AMBD’s head office, Commonwealth Drive, Bandar Seri Begawan on Wednesday, 15th of Syawal 1437H corresponding to July 20, 2016.
The delegation met with Yusof bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Managing Director of AMBD. Also present to receive the delegation were senior officials from AMBD.
The delegation was led by Virgilio Maria Dias Marcal, the President of the Committee C-Finance and Economy Affairs with 15 of the members of National Parliament of Timor-Leste.
The delegation is currently on a goodwill visit in Brunei Darussalam for the period of July 17-23 to enhance bilateral relations.
One of the main objectives of the visit to AMBD was to understand the experiences, history and development of the currencies used in Brunei Darussalam.
The delegation was also given a tour of the Currency Gallery at BCMB Building, Ministry of Finance Complex, Commonwealth Drive, Bandar Seri Begawan.
