AS PART of preparations for the approaching royal get-together in the Brunei-Muara District in conjunction with the 70th birthday celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, a full rehearsal was held at the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien yesterday.
Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs, who is also the Chairman of the National Executive Committee for His Majesty 70th birthday celebrations, was present to ensure each performance came into perfection prior to the actual day of the celebration which will be held this Sunday, July 24.
The rehearsal was organised by the Brunei-Muara District Office.
Also attending the full rehearsal yesterday were members of the Legislative Council, deputy permanent secretaries at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Acting Brunei-Muara District Officer as well as members of the National Executive Committee of His Majesty 70th birthday celebration.
