THE Legislative Council of Brunei Darussalam (LegCo) received a visit from a number of representatives from the Chinese Association for International Understanding (CAFIU) yesterday morning at a closed-door meeting, which was held at the Council Hall, Legislative Council building.
Greeting the foreign delegates – led by Zhang Baowen, Vice Chairman of NPC Standing Committee, Chairman of China Democratic League and Vice President of CAFIU – were YB Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib, Speaker of the Legislative Council; Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Jaya Dato Paduka Awang Haji Judin bin Haji Asar, Secretary to the Cabinet Ministers’ Council and Clerk to the Legislative Council; and Rose Aminah binti Haji Ismail, Deputy Clerk to the Legislative Council.
Also present at the visit was Yang Jian, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) to Brunei Darussalam.
