Upon arrival, the students were ushered to the school’s conference room to attend a brief talk on the historical background and academic programme of the school, delivered by Deputy Principal (Administration) Johnny Lim and Deputy Principal (Academic) Zaliha binti Metussin.
The Japanese students were also given the opportunity to tour the school premises. On Monday, the students will participate in classroom immersion, participating with local students and learn how Brunei schools differ from theirs.
Throughout their visit, various activities have been planned for the Japanese students which include taking part in Brunei traditional games; getting the opportunity to witness one of the traditional practices of a Brunei Malay wedding ‘Majlis Berbadak’, which will be re-enacted by the local students; tasting one of Brunei’s traditional food Ambuyat and witnessing Brunei traditional dances performed by the students as well as other activities and performances.
